The Importance Of Fiber

   One of the main keys to a happy life is a healthy life. So I want to take the time and talk about the tremendous importance of fiber in our lives.    Any cleansing program should begin in the colon because a poor bowel management lies at the root of most people’s health problems. Our bodies are built in such a way that almost all the toxins from every part of the body end up in the human sewage system, which is the colon.

So what does fiber have to do with that you ask?

  The main purpose of consuming fiber is eliminating toxins from our bodies, which is almost impossible to do it any other way. We get toxins from inhaling dust and asbestos, from undigested food, ingested heavy metals, pesticides, and dead cells of our own bodies.

  You might think that cels are really small and can’t cause a big damage, you’re wrong. About 98% of the total number of atoms in our body are replaced every year. That means that we have about 70 to 100 pounds of dead cells that we should be passing out of our system each year. Dead cells can be one of the most toxic kinds of waste because they begin to rot right away.

Another main thing to keep in mind is that insufficient fiber intake is one of the main reasons for premature aging in humans

So we have two types of fiber, soluble and insoluble.

Soluble fibers are found mainly  in fruit, beans, peas, oat barn and especially Chia seeds. They slow down the release of sugar contained in the foods we eat while reducing the risk of diabetes.

Insoluble fiber is found primarily in greens, peels, nuts, seeds, beans and the husks of grains. Insoluble fibers it’s like a miraculous sponge because every piece of it can absorb many times more toxins then its own volume.

Some of the many healing properties that fiber has are:

-Fiber can strenghten a diseased heart;

-Fiber reduces cholesterol, which decreases the risk of heart attack;

-Fiber prevents many kinds of cancer;

-Fiber can lessen the risk of diabetes and improve already diagnosed diabetes;

-Fiber steadies blood sugar levels by slowing down the absorption of sugar;

-Fiber prevents gallstones;

-Fiber promotes healthy intestinal bacteria; 

-Fiber can strengthen the immune system;

-Fiber keeps our bowels healthy, relieves constipation and promotes regularity;

-Fiber helps us lose weight;

-Fiber prevents ulcers;

-Fiber binds up excess estrogen;

   If you consume a lot of meat, poultry, dairy and any other another animal products, you are getting zero fiber. So in order to eliminate the toxins from your body, you need to eat more plant foods. And I’m not talking about a few lettuce leaves on your sandwich. I’m talking about a high volume of greens and vegetables in your diet, preferably in its raw form.  The reason being, is that once you cook them, you end up losing most of the nutrients from the high temperature.
  The daily recommendation of fiber is between 20g to 50g. Just to give you an idea of the amount of fiber you get – one medium size apple/banana/mango has 3g of fiber and 2 tablespoons of flaxseeds contain 6g of fiber.

  So what I usually do, is have a green smoothie while adding an apple or a banana to it with 2 tablespoons of flaxseed and chia seeds. You can also purchase flaxseed meal and add that to your salad or any other food you’re making.

   Another thing I want to emphasize on, is that a lot of people juice, and that’s great. But you are missing most of the fiber. So instead of constantly juicing, I would invite you to make a smoothie. That way you get your vitamins and you cleans at the same time.

  1. You provide the reader very important information. People that do not take this info. seriously will likely compromise the quality of their lives as they age. It’s a shame people choose to experience “PAIN” before they modify essential lifestyle NEEDS!

    1. Chia seeds are great, just make sure you soak them in water for a few hours, otherwise your body doesn’t absorb them. I usually put them to soak at night and then use them in the morning.

      1. In the morning I usually have a cup of water before anything else. That makes me want to drink more water throughout the day and it helps with cleanse. Then, I have my green smoothie made with lots of leafy greens, vegetables, some fruit and chia seeds.
        Chia seeds are loaded with fiber, protein, Omega-3 fatty acids and various micronutrients. It’s a really great addition to your diet to help with toxins elimination.
